My name is Brent Mullen and I own Mullen Fabworks. I am finishing my degree in mechanical engineering at Cal Poly Pomona. I started MF in 2004 after buying my first prerunner truck. I thought that the truck was great, but would later find out that it was far from it. I decided to have a front bumper built by a fabrication shop shortly after buying the truck. After paying $650 for a basic tube front bumper, I thought to myself that I could build this truck myself. Although I have always been mechanically inclined, I had very little knowledge about off-road trucks. After doing some research, I decided to buy a welder, bender, chop saw, and a few other tools so that I could build my truck myself. After a few minor projects on my truck, I decided to try my hand at a bed cage for a friend. That bed cage is still holding up on that truck today. That is where it all began.
After doing some more work on my personal truck, I decided to post my progress online. I soon had people coming to me for work. Eventually, it grew into what I have today. I am still a garage fabricator, but that does not have any affect on the quality of my work. I will remain a garage fabricator for as long as possible to keep my prices low.
My goal is to one day build the highest end trucks available, using all that I have learned about engineering and fabrication.
